Steven Finlay PhD, is a Licensed
Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
Dr. Finlay earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counseling
Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master
of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the University
of Texas of the Permian Basin. He has been active in providing
training seminars and in publishing research in psychology
journals.. Dr. Finlay practices in the Central Texas area,
with offices in Waco and Marlin. He provides general diagnostic
and treatment services to children, adolescents, adults
and the geriatric population. |

Welcome to this website. A recent focus of my practice is neuropsychological screening evaluations for dementia. Dementia of the Alzheimer's type is the most frequent occurring dementia in persons over 65. During relatively brief interview and testing procedures, the examinee is compared to other persons his or her age on several areas of cognitive functioning. When test results suggest dementia, family counseling, education and guidance are provided. Medicare is accepted for these services. Call if you have questions or want to make an appointment.
